Limited-Release License Plate Covers Benefiting Students with Autism | Schomp Nissan

Published on Apr 4, 2022 by Schomp Nissan

We have some exciting news about how the Schomp Automotive group is getting involved in the community! During the month of April, we have partnered with an organization named TACT – Teaching the Autism Community Trades – to develop and distribute custom license plate covers that will help spread awareness of autism and their organization.

Schomp Nissan has a supply of these license plate covers ready and available to offer to our clients free of charge – while supplies last.

The Mission of TACT is to encourage and empower the full spectrum of individuals with autism through education and employment in the skilled trades. T.A.C.T. offers career tracks and workshops to young adults with autism in Automotive Mechanics, Carpentry, Electrical, Welding, and additional S.T.E.M. fields. You can learn more about TACT by visiting their website buildwithtact.org.

On March 16, Schomp had the privilege of hosting a TACT class specializing in automotive mechanics. John Perez, one of our Service Managers, was excited to lead a tour of our auto shop and service drive and answer questions about the industry and equipment. The students were incredibly grateful, and we hope to see them as Schomp hires one day!

In addition to distributing the license plate covers, Schomp Automotive is also proud to announce that we will be donating $8,000 to TACT to support them in this critical mission. Education is a key pillar of our Schomp Spark giving initiative. We could not have found a more worthy and appreciative group of bright, young kids.
