Why the Nissan Frontier Should Be Your Pickup Pick in 2026

You’ve finally decided it’s time for a pickup truck. Sooooo many choices! Schomp Nissan offers a perfect, Goldilocks solution: our 2026 Nissan Frontier

The Frontier is often described as a rock-solid workhorse, a pickup’s pickup, a no-frills choice that can carry a lot, pull a lot and do it without a lot of flash. Want lots of chrome and luxury? The Nissan Frontier may not be for you. If you’re serious about driving a pickup to enhance your life, you need to give the Frontier a look.

The Frontier comes in eight different versions, all with the standard 310-hp 3.8-liter direct-injection V6 engine, towing capacity up to 7,150 lbs., and payload capacity of up to 1,590 lbs.

  • The 2026 Nissan Frontier S has a choice of King or a Crew Cab, two-wheel or four-wheel-drive and a standard-size bed. It delivers 21 mpg combined. Has a NissanConnect® 8" color touch-screen display and Apple CarPlay integration.
  • The 2026 Nissan Fronter SV kicks up a notch, adding a NissanConnect® 12.3" color touch-screen display, Android Auto™ compatibility, 8-way power driver’s seat and 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Available as a Crew Cab and also a long-bed.
  • The 2026 Nissan Frontier Dark Armor comes with either standard or long bed. Both have dark interior and exterior accents. Available as either 4x2 or 4x4.
  • The 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro-X® has 17-inch PRO aluminum alloy wheels, Bilstein® off-road performance shocks, LED signature headlights, Lava Red front tow hooks and Lave Red interior accents. Available only as a 4x2. Check out the premium colors!
  • The 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X® comes with either standard or long bed, also has 17” PRO aluminum-alloy wheels and Bilstein® off-road performance shocks. They’re 4x4s with electronic locking rear differential, Terrain Mode Selector with four different modes and underbody skid plates. The Pro-4X R by Roush® makes off-roading even better with all-terrain tires, off-road-tuned suspension wit lift-kit and special finish accents and badging.

Adding bells and whistles is easy. The higher the trim, the greater the options, including packages that offer, for example, spray-on bedliner, AC power outlets, heated seats and steering wheel, under-rail bed lighting, two hitch and more. Accessory choices abound, as well.

All 2026 Nissan trims have Nissan Safety Shield ® 360,  a suite of advanced safety technology, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking and Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, High-Beam Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control.
